Freezing to death: it’s back
Honestly, I don’t mind the
cold. Nevertheless, last winter was not
something I look at fondly. Snow is
fine, especially if it results in the cancelling of classes, but snow in April
is not fine under any circumstance. If anybody
remembers, that’s what we had last year, along with negative temperatures and
Ada wind.
For a while, walking across the
tundra feeling my face almost freeze thanks to the wind wasn’t that bad. It was winter in Ohio, so it was kind of to
be expected. But after three months of
that, I, along with everybody else I think, was ready for spring, even if that
meant no class cancellations. It began
to take on the feeling of one of those famous winters you live through that
people bring up 20 years from now, and you can say memories about it.
But luckily for us (sarcasm), the
polar vortex, the cause of the extreme cold, has decided to return. Looks like it’s time to “polar bear up.”
Ian I understand how you feel. Last winter was awful. The only thing good that comes from having a bad winter is not having to go to class. I lived on the other side of campus last year and I had a very long walk to class. That was the worst. My hands would always freeze and my face felt like a popsicle.
